James B. Grimes, MD

Born in Kansas City, MO, Dr. Grimes received his bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Kansas in Lawrence. He earned his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College in New York City in 1979. His surgical internship and orthopedic surgery residency were at Washington University - Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He completed his fellowship in arthritis surgery and sports medicine at DePaul Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Dr. Grimes is a published author. He has also presented his work at meetings in the United States and England. He holds numerous patents in the field of total hip replacement.

Dr. Grimes is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Grimes specializes in the minimally invasive treatment of adult joint disorders.
